Del Mar Fair, 2013

I revisited the Del Mar Fair after the 2012 shoot that yielded my first overlaid "collages." Here I repeated the technique developed a year earlier, but stayed with overlaid color images rather than converting color digital files into sepia images. I'd been concerned that the introduction of color would make the matching of images more complex. But the challenge was surmountable.

The “Coppertone Girl and Fish Tacos" is a re-shoot in 2013 of the same artwork and marquee that also appeared at the Fair in 2012. "Greed" is actually taken from 2012 digital files, but put together here in color as compared to sepia in 2012. Andrew Jackson in four of the images has been taken from the front of an ATM machine at the Fair.
