Stripes! 2023

Stripes! explores the relationships of tonality within color families and the contrast and juxtaposition of disparate colors among color families. The “Not” images were created from their “namesake” images using a color and tone inversion technique.

The originals are printed on watercolor paper (Ilford Galerie Prestige Cotton Textured 310 gsm) at 48 inches x 48 inches including a 1 inch white border. Stripes! are nicely presented “floated” on white mat board with 1-1/2 inch of mat showing beyond the images’ white watercolor paper margin.
